Argentina suffered their first defeat in 37 matches today in their World Cup opener against Saudi Arabia. Leonel Messi gave his side the lead after scoring from 12 yard, but the Asians returned from the break to surprise everyone with two strikes in 5minutes.
It should be noted that while Argentina came as the World Cup favourites this year, Saudi Arabia have been subject of humiliation. Today’s victory over Argentina was the forth ever in their World Cup history, but the first ever opener-defeat for their opponents.
The question is: Will Saudi keep the momentum and stage a stunning comeback throughout the campaign?
